Gwinnett County's newest dining destination has a new neighbor. Stäge Kitchen & Bar — the seafood-and-steak restaurant group with existing locations in Peachtree Corners and Dunwoody — celebrated a ribbon cutting with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce on Friday, September 25, for its third Georgia location, this one inside the Exchange at Gwinnett in Buford.

The restaurant quietly opened for dinner service on September 18, at 2925 Buford Dr. #1400, Buford, GA 30519 — right next to Pickle & Social, the pickleball-and-dining venue that anchors one corner of the sprawling development.

A Third Location in Gwinnett's Newest Retail Hub

The Exchange at Gwinnett is more than 100 acres of retail, dining, and entertainment off Buford Drive, developed by Fuqua Development. According to the developer, the project includes more than 465,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, anchored by Top Golf, Andretti Indoor Karting & Adventure Park, and a food hall with multiple dining concepts. Kura Sushi, Whataburger, and Pickle & Social have already opened there, alongside more than 1,000 multifamily units, hotel rooms, and luxury apartments built into the same site.

Stäge's arrival adds a higher-end dinner option to that mix — the kind of destination restaurant Gwinnett diners mostly had to drive toward Peachtree Corners or Dunwoody to find until now.

What's on the Menu

Stäge describes its food as “a culinary journey of seafood, steak, pasta, global tapas, and elevated sushi,” built around a chef-driven, seasonally rotating menu that leans on fresh, local ingredients. The Buford location, like its sister restaurants, pairs that menu with handcrafted cocktails at a dedicated bar and lounge, and offers seating in a main dining room, on a garden patio, or in private dining spaces for larger groups.

Open Now

The Buford location is open for dinner, with the Chamber-hosted ribbon cutting marking its official introduction to the local business community. Reservations and more information are available by phone at (678) 865-4450.

It's the kind of opening that's becoming more common as the Exchange at Gwinnett fills in — and one more reason Buford's stretch of Buford Drive is starting to look like a dining destination in its own right, not just a detour on the way to Peachtree Corners.
